Skywatchers were treated to a stunning view of the ‘Pink Moon’ in the night sky on April 12, as it emanated a soft, silvery light across the landscape.

The April full Moon is called Pink Moon because it coincides with the early spring bloom of a wildflower called Phlox subulata, commonly known as moss pink or creeping phlox.
