The revised structure has received approval from the Union education ministry, and preparations are underway at the KVS headquarters to implement it, the officials added.

P Devakumar, joint commissioner (academic) of KVS, has communicated this decision in a letter dated March 20 to KVS commissioner (HQs) Nidhi Pandey.

To execute the recruitment process, KVS will select a suitable agency experienced in large-scale hiring in educational institutions. A high-level meeting at the KVS headquarters will be convened to finalise the examination schedule, guidelines, and modalities, with participation from all regional deputy commissioners and stakeholders, the letter stated.

Additionally, a task force under the KVS commissioner (HQs) will oversee the recruitment process to ensure transparency and efficiency. This team will monitor all stages, from examination to final selection. Officials added that the structure and expected dates of the new three-tier examination will be announced soon.

In December 2022, KVS introduced computer-based examinations for teacher, vice-principal, and principal recruitment. The number of question papers for principal and vice-principal exams also increased from one to two at that time.

KVS operates 1,253 schools, including three international branches in Kathmandu, Tehran, and Moscow, catering to over 13 lakh students with approximately 48,314 employees.
