Attending a programme at BLJ Ground in Mirzapur to mark eight years of the Uttar Pradesh Government’s ‘Policy of Service, Security, and Good Governance,’ Adityanath was joined by Union minister Anupriya Patel, Jal Shakti minister Swatantra Dev Singh, and other officials.

Commending the hospitality of Mirzapur, Bhadohi and neighboring districts during Mahakumbh-2025, Adityanath noted that faith-driven economic growth, as seen during the Mahakumbh, would further propel Mirzapur’s progress.

He also highlighted the Maa Vindhyavasini Corridor’s impact on increasing footfall and income opportunities in the region. “Special preparations are underway for Chaitra Navratri to ensure a smooth darshan experience for devotees while boosting the local economy,” he said.

The chief minister further stated that projects worth approximately 900 crore are currently underway in Mirzapur, including the successful completion of the Bansagar project, with new projects worth nearly 500 crore in the pipeline.

During the event, the chief minister highlighted Mirzapur’s progress over the past eight years. He inaugurated multiple development projects, laid foundation stones for new initiatives, and honoured beneficiaries of various government schemes.

As part of his visit, Adityanath also toured an exhibition featuring ODOP (One District, One Product) items and key development initiatives. Sharing the stage with Union Minister Anupriya Patel and State Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, he distributed certificates and appointment letters to Anganwadi workers, house keys to beneficiaries of the PM and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, and a 5 lakh cheque under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana.

Additionally, laptops and tablets were provided under the Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana, while differently-abled children received Braille kits and hearing aids.

The programme began with a welcome address by Union Minister Anupriya Patel, who thanked the Chief Minister for Mirzapur’s development and urged the establishment of a ceramic park and a Kendriya Vidyalaya in the district.

Adityanath assured the youth that they would no longer need to leave the district for employment, citing efforts to expand the ODOP scheme to boost local craftsmanship, including Chunar’s stone carving and the region’s renowned brass artistry. He emphasised government support for small industries, including loans of up to 5 lakh for youth and women entrepreneurs under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana.
